Florida has long been known as the “golf capital of the world” for its sheer volume of courses and sunny, warm weather that lends for year-round play.
The Sunshine State alone has 1,264 golf courses, well more than California (955), Michigan (867), New York (829) and Texas (818). So the million-dollar question remains: Where should you play?
Golfweek has you covered.
Judged by hundreds of voters (and golfers) nationwide, Golfweek has identified its annual top-30 public-access golf courses in Florida. And this year there are four new additions.
The courses listed below allow public access in some fashion, be it through standard green fees or through a resort or affiliated hotel stay. Simply put, no membership is required to play the courses that range as south as Miami’s Trump National Doral and as northwest as Watercooler’s Camp Creek on 30A. Here’s where to tee it up.
