Florida State standing out to four-star safety

Zayden Gamble is one of the top safety prospects in the 2027 recruiting class, and the Fort Lauderdale product is being recruited by programs across the country. Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles are trying to keep him home and he is interested in what they have to offer.

He recently spoke with Marcus Benjamin of Rivals about his recruitment and revealed that the Seminoles are one of the schools at the top of his recruitment. They have plenty of competition as the Miami Hurricanes, Florida Gators, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and more are right there with them.

His recruitment is far from over, but he does already know the most important factor in his recruitment.

“Relationships are my number one thing,” Gamble said. “I’m not looking at so much of what school is talking to me, but more so what relationship I have best with the coaches. Those schools are standing out because of how much time they are putting into me. Those little graphics go a long way. Taking ten seconds out of your day to text me means something.”

Gamble is ranked as the No. 173 overall player and No. 17 safety in Rivals’ industry ranking. He is also the No. 16 player from Florida.

FSU has recruited the secondary extremely well in the 2027 cycle and already has commitments from four-star safety Mekhi Williams and four-star cornerback Bryce Williams.
