The Florida State Seminoles are known for recruiting the state of Georgia heavily, especially the southern region. They have extended an offer to three-star edge Stevan Thornton III out of Cairo High School.
“Beyond blessed to receive my 29th D1 offer from Florida State University! GOD’s timing is always perfect,” Thornton said on social media.
Thornton is the No. 451 recruit in the country and the No. 45 edge per Rivals’ industry rankings. They have also deemed him the No. 50 prospect in Georgia.
The 6-foot-5, 200-pounder was an extremely productive performer as a junior. He amassed 91 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, and eight sacks.
His performance has made some of the top programs in the nation interested. The Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia Bulldogs, Ole Miss Rebels, Tennessee Volunteers, and Auburn Tigers are some of the schools that have offered him over the last several months.
