Earlier in the week, the Miami Dolphins moved on from two offensive linemen (Kion Smith and Carter Warren, who reverted to injured reserve after passing through waivers), so the team needed to find more depth up front.
New Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan found that on Wednesday, as the team announced the signing of Gottlieb Ayedze.
Ayedze, 26, played collegiately at Frostburg State from 2019-22, earning All-MEC honors thrice, and at Maryland in 2023. He went undrafted in 2024 before splitting the 2024 season between the Philadelphia Eagles and Las Vegas Raiders.
After sitting out the 2025 season, Ayedze joined the UFL’s DC Defenders in January, but the team traded him to the Houston Gamblers in March for former Dolphins wide receiver Braylon Sanders.
Ayedze appeared in 10 games for the Gambles and earned All-UFL honors.
