Florida State offers 2028 edge in North Carolina

Florida State has been putting a lot of effort into recruiting the 2028 class lately. On Monday, another recruit announced that the Seminoles had extended him an offer, and it was three-star edge Darias Johnson.

“I am blessed to receive an offer from Florida state,” Johnson wrote on social media.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder doesn’t have a ton of offers, but the ones he does have are pretty significant. He’s been offered by the Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama Crimson Tide, LSU Tigers, Tennessee Volunteers, and Virginia Tech Hokies in addition to FSU.

As a sophomore this past season, Johnson put together a solid performance. He produced 32 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack, and one fumble recovery.

Johnson is the nation’s No. 560 overall recruit and the No. 56 edge per Rivals’ industry rankings. In the state of North Carolina, Johnson ranks as the No. 14 prospect.

He’s the latest on a list of several edge recruits the Seminoles have offered in the 2028 cycle. Chance Archangel, Brayson Robinson, and Christopher Sanon are some of the others. All three are blue-chip prospects.
