The Volusia-Flagler area has three teams playing in the regional semifinals Friday, Nov. 21.
DeLand and Spruce Creek are on a collision course for a meeting in the Region 1-7A finals if both teams win. Mainland is the third local school that advanced after beating Middleburg in the first round of the Region 1-5A playoffs.
New Smyrna Beach, Father Lopez and Deltona were eliminated from contention last week, as was Matanzas in the Florida Invitational Tournament.
