FSU softball vs. Stetson NCAA Tallahassee Regional: Noles dominate at-bat, 7-1

Florida State softball returns to JoAnne Graf Field to face Stetson in a rematch of Friday, but with even higher stakes.

Winner will continue on and face UCF in the regional final of the Tallahassee Regional on Sunday. FSU is coming off an 11-0 win over Jacksonville State, while UCF blew out Stetson in an earlier game. Follow along for scores and updates.

Stetson adds runs. FSU leads 7-2

Stetson avoided a shutout on FSU after Nicole Edmiaston hit a solo blast to make it 7-1 in the bottom of the third. The Hatters followed up Irianis Garcia followed up with an RBI double for a one-run score before the inning ended.

FSU softball stays hot at-bat

FSU continues to find its rhythm at the plate. Isa Torres loaded the bases with a bunt, setting up a Jaysoni Beachum grand slam. Ashtyn Danley followed up with a solo blast for the Seminoles to lead 7-0 in the top of the second inning.

Stetson makes pitching change

With FSU up 2-0, Shellie Cousins makes a pitching change. Ava Braswell replaces Kennedy Temples after one inning.

FSU softball scores two runs to start the first inning

FSU is off to a strong start as they continue their moment at-bats. The Seminoles picked up two runs on three hits to start the game. Anna Hinde singled, which allowed Isa Torres to score. Bella Ruggiero reached on a fielder’s choice for Hinde to score.
