Clermont just got a little greener, and we aren’t talking about the landscaping.
FINO Brands Inc. has officially entered Florida’s retail medical cannabis market, opening its first-ever dispensary in Lake County with a fresh, hospitality-driven approach that completely flips the script on how patients shop, according to a company media release.
Where is it?
The new storefront, located at 833 W. Hwy 50 in Clermont, hosted its soft opening on Tuesday, June 23. The launch marks a major milestone for the company following the extensive development of its large-scale cultivation and processing infrastructure in Hendry County.
A focus on patient education and terpenes
The Clermont location distinguishes itself from traditional medical cannabis retailers by moving away from transactional, high-THC shopping models.
Operating from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. seven days a week, the storefront utilizes a hospitality-inspired layout centered on an effect-based, education-driven model.
Staff are specifically trained to guide medical patients through terpene profiles and individual wellness goals. According to corporate leadership, the goal is to shift consumer focus toward the science of the plant rather than strain names.
Clean cultivation from seed to sale?
The products on the Clermont shelves are supplied directly by FINO’s own facility in Felda, in Southwest Florida.
The company emphasizes clean cultivation practices at this site, avoiding chemical pesticides, fungicides and product irradiation. This vertical integration allows the brand to maintain strict quality control from seed to sale.
Corporate leadership and growth plans
Led by CEO Joe Puglise, FINO accelerated its infrastructure footprint through 2025 to prepare for this retail launch.
The Clermont dispensary serves as the “official retail entry point for the company,” according to its website, but regional expansion is already underway.
FINO is currently preparing a second Central Florida retail location in Winter Park, though an official opening date for that storefront has not yet been announced.
