Every year the NBA Draft ushers in the league’s next top prospects in star-studded recruiting classes. The same was the case earlier this week, as the 2026 NBA Draft, headlined by AJ Dybantsa, was said to be one of the strongest groups of prospects in recent history.
Following his selection, the aforementioned Dybantsa spoke about his new opportunity with the Washington Wizards, highlighting one of his former players. Dybantsa, like many, shared his admiration for Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant.
Dybantsa has been on record saying that Durant has always been his favorite player and after the draft said, “Sharing the court with him will be ridiculous.”
Although Durant is an aging star, now that both he and Dybantsa are in the Western Conference, the two will meet frequently in the coming seasons.
