A Palm Beach art gallery will play host to an exhibition of fine jewelry in support of The King’s Foundation.
The showcase, “Rare Gemstones & New Creations,” by British jeweler Pragnell will be on view at Findlay Galleries, 165 Worth Ave., Feb. 21-28.
The King’s Foundation was founded in 1990 by King Charles III to support education efforts about craftsmanship, historic preservation and sustainable practices, the gallery said in a statement about the exhibition.
This will be latest installment in the gallery’s series of events to benefit the foundation. Last season, Findlay Galleries held an exhibition of Charles Neal’s paintings that were created at Highgrove House, the king’s private home. All proceeds associated with the jewelry showcase will go to the foundation, the gallery said.
“This year’s collaboration with Pragnell reflects a shared dedication to heritage, craftsmanship and philanthropy,” the gallery said. “The presentation — arranged for gallery patrons and invited guests — will offer a rare opportunity to view a curated selection of exceptional jewels: historic gemstones of notable provenance, newly created pieces handcrafted in Britain and carefully selected vintage designs spanning important periods in jewelry history.”
The sixth-generation Pragnell business is renowned for having in-house workshops and gem experts, Findlay Galleries said.
The Palm Beach collaboration brings together two historic names, the gallery said, with Findlay Galleries founded in 1870, and Pragnell also dating to the 1800s.
More details about viewing appointments and events will be announced. More information is available by calling 561-655-2090.
Last year, an event at which Neal’s paintings were showcased raised more than $300,000 for The King’s Foundation, organizers said at the time. The foundation’s programs in the U.S. include initiatives in Detroit and New York City and at the University of California-Davis.
