We’re monitoring the cut line at the 2026 PGA Championship to keep track of who is in line to make or miss the cut at golf’s second major of the year.
The biggest surprise so far at Arinomink was the collapse of Rory McIlroy, a two-time PGA champion and the winner of the past two Masters. With four straight bogeys to close his first round, McIlroy finds himself in need of a major turnaround if he is to extend his streak of eight consecutive made cuts at major tournaments.
Several other early favorites are at risk of missing the weekend’s rounds, as well. Bryson DeChambeau and Ludvig Åberg, both in the same group, will need the rebound strong today. DeChambeau, Harris English and Davis Riley all tied for second behind Scottie Scheffler last year at Quail Hollow; all three could miss this year’s cut. PGA Championship cut line
As of 10 a.m. in Round 2, the projected cut line was 2 over par. Players with a score of 2 over or better after today’s round would qualify for the weekend’s rounds if the current cut line holds through the end of the day. Projections from DataGolf estimate the final cut line will be 2 or 3 over.
