The No. 8 Florida State Seminoles are looking to clinch the series victory against the Miami Hurricanes on Friday in Game Two of the final series of the regular season. The game is set to start at 6 p.m. ET at Dick Howser Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida.
The Seminoles completed an epic comeback on Thursday to steal Game One of the series, erasing a 6-1 deficit in the eighth inning to win 7-6 in 11 innings. FSU (37-15, 18-10 ACC) relied on the home run to make it happen, getting two solo shots in the eighth before Eli Putnam tied it in the ninth with a two-run homer of his own.
After using the homer to get back into the game, the Seminoles played small ball to win. They started the 11th with two singles before a hit-by-pitch loaded the bases with two outs for Brayden Dowd. He never took the bat off his shoulder, watching four straight balls to walk in the winning run and complete the win.
