Florida State recently had four-star defensive tackle Kendall Geurvil on campus for his first visit. After watching practice and getting a greay look at Tony White’s 3-3-5 scheme, Geurvil mentioned how it was similar to what he does at Fort Myers High School.
It appears that FSU’s impression on Geurvil was even bigger than anyone thought. He originally had an official visit locked in with Alabama on May 30. Now, the 6-foot-5, 310-pounder has replaced them with Florida State. He will also visit Georgia (June 6-8), Florida (June 13-15), and Texas (June 20-22) during the summer.
Guervil is the No. 154 recruit in the country and the No. 19 defensive lineman per the 247Sports composite rankings. He’s also ranked as the No. 24 prospect in the state of Florida.
The Florida native had a productive junior campaign. He racked up 88 tackles, one half sack, and two forced fumbles.
The fact that Florida State was able to move a powerhouse like Alabama after just one visit with Guervil is pretty major. Now, the Seminoles just need to keep a great line of communication open until he returns.
