Elite 2028 safety is excited to attend FSU vs Alabama

The Florida State Seminoles are opening the 2025 season against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday in Doak Campbell Stadium, and the sold-out game will be full of talented recruits. One of the best players set to be in the stands is Casey Barner, a four-star safety in the 2028 recruiting class.

Barner has already visited FSU once this year, attending a Junior Day on Jan. 25, the same day they extended him a scholarship offer. It is safe to say he is looking forward to returning to Tallahassee.

“When I was there before, it was a great vibe,” Barner told Rivals. “Coach Surtain loves me, it was cool to be there before and I know it is a great program. This will be a great game to see.”

He is ranked as the No. 19 overall player and No. 2 safety in the Rivals industry ranking. The Atlanta product is also the No. 2 player from Georgia.

Barner has had an excellent start to his sophomore season for McEachern High School. He totaled three touchdowns in their first game of the season, scoring one as a receiver, running back, and kick returner.
