The Miami Dolphins are a team that should be truly allowing competition at every position, and with that, they’re constantly looking for upgrades, especially to the bottom of their roster.
On Thursday, they did just that, as they waived tight end Jalin Conyers and offensive lineman Braeden Daniels and signed offensive tackle Marques Cox and running back Carlos Washington Jr.
Conyers, 24, joined the team as an undrafted free agent in 2025 after playing collegiately at Oklahoma, Arizona State and Texas Tech. He spent his entire rookie season on injured reserve.
Daniels, 25, joined the Dolphins in 2024 after stints with the Washington Commanders, Houston Texans, Los Angeles Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys. Despite entering the league as a fourth-round pick in 2023, he’s never played a snap in a regular season game.
Cox, 26, played at Northern Illinois and Kentucky before the Denver Broncos signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2025. He split the year between the Broncos and Arizona Cardinals practice squads before signing a reserve/futures deal back with Denver.
Washington, 27, spent the last three years with the Atlanta Falcons after a college career split between New Hampshire and Southeastern Louisiana. He’s appeared in two games in his career, playing 21 snaps on special teams.
