Breaking down Florida football players who could get selected in 2027 NFL draft

Florida football is seeking a bounce-back season in 2026 under first-year coach Jon Sumrall.

The Florida Gators have enough talent on the roster to make it happen, including a handful of players who could emerge as 2027 NFL draft prospects.

Florida (57) boasts the fifth-most first-round draft picks since 1967 and the second-most day-one selections in the SEC, behind only Alabama (76). UF plucks from a state rich in high school talent and has developed a strong enough brand to recruit and sign players from around the country.

Sumrall, hired from Tulane after leading the Green Wave a College Football Playoff appearance last season, is stressing the importance of player development within the program in both the weight room and on the field. New Florida football strength and conditioning coach Rusty Whitt, a former Army Special Forces Sargeant, is leading the charge in the weight room with continued offseason strength and conditioning this spring.

Here’s a look at five Florida football players who could get picked in the 2027 NFL draft:

Florida football RB Jadan Baugh

The 6-foot-1, 228-pound Baugh is coming off a season in which he rushed for 1,170 yards on 220 carries with 8 TDs. He also proved adept catching balls on the backfield, a skill NFL teams covet, with 33 catches for 210 yards and 2 TDs receiving. Baugh is poised for another potential breakout season under first-year offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner, which should only enhance his draft stock.

Florida football LB Myles Graham

The 6-1, 225-pound Graham is coming off a season that included becoming UF’s first linebacker since 2021 to lead the team in tackles with 76. Graham will need to continue to show improvement in coverage and more playmaking ability but should flourish in a linebacker-friendly scheme under Sumrall and new Florida defensive coordinator Brad White. In two seasons, Graham has recorded 9.5 career tackles for loss, three sacks, five pass breakups and one forced fumble.

Florida football WR Eric Singleton Jr.

The 5-10, 182-pound Singleton brings blazing speed and proven production in the ACC and SEC with 162 catches for 2,002 yards and 12 TDs in three seasons with Georgia Tech and Auburn. Like Baugh, Singleton should get plenty of chances in Faulkner’s offense to make plays both as a receiver and a runner, which should only boost is potential draft stock.

Florida football CB Cormani McClain

The 6-2, 182-pound McClain possesses the size and coverage instincts to be a future NFL cornerback. He’s recorded two career interceptions, including one for a TD, and two career pass breakups. The main challenge for McClain is to live in the playbook and continue to make good decisions on and off the field.

Florida football S Bryce Thornton

The 5-10, 211-pound Thornton could work his way into the 2027 NFL draft with a strong close to his career as a senior. Thorton has always shown a nose for the football with four career interceptions and two career fumble recoveries, including one returned for a TD. Thornton’s father, Bruce, was a running back at Georgia and was selected in the fourth round of the 1994 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys
