After a holiday break, Big Bend girls’ basketball teams returned to the court for the second half of the 2025-26 season, picking up where they left off.
The Tallahassee Democrat put together a recap on some of the games last week and an updated Big Bend Power rankings.
Wakulla stays perfect. Amariyah Donaldson records a triple-double
Wakulla remains unbeaten at 10-0 after back-to-back wins over Maclay (36-16) and North Florida Christian (47-35).
Junior forward Amariyah Donaldson powered both victories, recording her first triple-double against Maclay with 21 points, 18 rebounds and 10 blocks. She followed with 21 points, 16 rebounds and six blocks against NFC.
Wakulla hosts Wewahitchka on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
Florida High rolls past Godby
Florida High earned its biggest win of the season last Thursday, routing Godby 57-27. Eighth-grader Callie James led the Seminoles with 15 points, six rebounds and two steals. Florida High fell to Providence School over the weekend, 56-35, dropping to 9-9 overall.
The Seminoles hit the road for three straight games: Tuesday at Rickards, Saturday at Providence and Lincoln next week.
Godby bounced back from the Florida High loss with a 55-12 win over St. John Paul II on Friday. The Cougars face Lincoln on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
