Fleming Island shoppers looking to stretch their grocery dollars will have a new go-to this week: Aldi is opening its first store in the community Thursday.
Aldi will open its first Fleming Island location, a newly converted store, at 1545 County Road 220. The store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
“At our new Fleming Island Aldi store, shoppers will find that every decision we make, from our product selection to store layout, is to provide our customers with the best products at the lowest possible prices of any national grocer,” said Matt Thon, regional vice president for Aldi, in a news release. “As shoppers look for better ways to stretch their dollar, Aldi is providing Fleming Island with easier access to quality groceries at affordable prices.”
To celebrate the store’s grand opening, the first 100 customers will receive a gift bag filled with a sampling of Aldi-exclusive products and a gift card as part of the Aldi Golden Ticket giveaway program.
Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a $500 ALDI gift card through opening weekend.
The Fleming Island location marks another milestone in Aldi’s rapid expansion and the company’s goal to open 800 new stores nationwide by the end of 2028.
