The City of St. Augustine will host Fireworks Over the Matanzas on July 4.
The All-Star Orchestra will begin the festivities at 6 p.m. in the Plaza de la Constitución. The 20-minute, musically choreographed, explosive extravaganza over the Matanzas River bayfront, begins at 9:30 p.m. Fireworks will be displayed over the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument and the Bridge of Lions.
Old Town Trolley will provide shuttle service from the following Anastasia Island locations between 6 p.m. and midnight:
The St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park is a parking-only location. Shuttle buses for those parking at this location are available at R.B. Hunt Elementary School. Passengers will be dropped off at Flagler Boulevard and Gerado Street and Flagler Boulevard west of Gerado Street.

Parking rules will be enforced at the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument parking lot between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Vehicular access to the monument parking lot will be blocked between 6 and 11 p.m.
Parking in City of St. Augustine parking facilities and on-street parking will be free on July 4 only. Private lots might charge and might enforce towing. Drivers are encouraged to confirm the difference between the lots to avoid being towed.
The Historic Downtown Parking Facility, located adjacent to the St. Augustine & St. Johns County Visitor Information Center (1 Cordova St.) will offer parking for $20.00 per car, per entry or $3.00 with a ParkStAug registered license plate.

Street Closures
Traffic will be re-routed between 8 and 11 p.m. There will be no vehicular traffic on the Bridge of Lions, Avenida Menendez, Cathedral Place and Sout Castillo Drive.

Boating restrictions
The Bridge of Lions will be closed to marine traffic between 8 and 11 p.m. Vessels will be prohibited in areas north of the Bridge of Lions to the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument. Marine law enforcement will be on patrol.
The fireworks display area is designated as a No Boats Safety Zone. The Bridge of Lions will restrict its schedule of openings. Vessels must clear the designated area at 6 p.m. This area may shift slightly to the north or south based on weather conditions during the fireworks display.
The St. Augustine Municipal Marina will have limited overnight slips and hourly dockage on July 4. For availability and docking information contact the marina on VHF CH 16 or CH 71.
