SPLURGE

Laugh out loud at ‘Rumors’ at FAU

Get ready for an evening of rapid-fire wit and escalating chaos with Neil Simon’s “Rumors,” a classic farce set in 1988. When guests arrive for a New York deputy mayor’s anniversary party, they find him wounded and his wife missing — cue the confusion. As the lies pile up, so do the laughs in this fast-paced satire of upper-class dysfunction, masterfully delivered by Florida Atlantic University’s Department of Theatre.

“Rumors”: Performances run through June 28. Tickets are $30. Marleen Forkas Studio One Theatre, Florida Atlantic University, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton. Info: 561-297-6124 or fauevents.com
