Summer is here, and it is everyone’s favorite time of the year, scouting time. Every year, we do Summer Scouting to preview college football for Bucs fans and give them names to follow and watch in the fall as needs pop up for Tampa Bay.
Are we going to write about quarterbacks? Offensive tackles? Edge rushers? You know it, but why? Because other NFL teams will draft them, just as they will draft every other position. It all matters whether these players end up on the Bucs, the Bears, or the Steelers. We write these to keep Bucs fans as informed as possible.
So if you are still with us, enjoy our latest Summer Scouting report as we prepare you for the Fall.

Player Summary
Khmori House enters the 2026 season as one of the more interesting linebacker transfers in college football. After beginning his career at Washington and spending the 2025 season at North Carolina, House now heads to Arkansas looking to continue building his résumé against SEC competition.
The first thing that stands out on film is his versatility. North Carolina deployed House in a variety of alignments, including traditional linebacker spots, slot alignments, overhang roles, and occasional edge assignments. That flexibility speaks to both his football intelligence and his understanding of defensive responsibilities. He consistently appeared comfortable adjusting to different assignments without looking out of place.
House is at his best when he is allowed to diagnose and react. He’s shown quality run-lane recognition, regularly identified backside pursuit opportunities, and displayed the ability to work through traffic while maintaining leverage. He is not a violent downhill linebacker, but he consistently puts himself in position to make plays and finish tackles. His ability to engage tight ends, keep his eyes in the backfield, and disengage when necessary was a recurring positive throughout his film.
In coverage, House appears functional rather than dynamic. He showed enough awareness to operate in zone coverage and carry running backs into the flats while displaying adequate ball skills when opportunities presented themselves. However, he does not currently project as a linebacker who will consistently create turnovers or erase receiving threats in space.
The biggest question entering 2026 revolves around projection. House offers versatility, football intelligence, and dependable recognition of plays, but he lacks elite physical traits or overwhelming playmaking ability. Arkansas will provide an opportunity to prove those skills against SEC competition. If he can continue to produce while refining his role, House has a path to becoming a late-round draft candidate. Entering the season, he projects as a developmental linebacker whose value is rooted in versatility and reliability.
