California’s top high school track and field competitors will travel to Buchanan High School’s Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis to compete in the 106th annual CIF state championships from May 29-30. The meet will begin with qualifying events at 5 p.m. on Friday and will conclude with championship races starting at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday.
Events on both days will wrap up at around 10 p.m. Temperatures in the Clovis area are expected to hover around the mid-to-high 70s on Friday and mid-80s on Saturday. General admission tickets will cost $12 on Friday and $14 on Saturday with discounts for children, students and seniors, while parking at the stadium will cost $10 per day.
The meet will be live-streamed on the NFHS Network for those who can’t attend in person, although a subscription is likely required.
The winners from last week’s Northern Section championships each earned a spot and will represent the North State over the weekend. See which NSCIF runners, jumpers and throwers will compete for a state title this weekend.
