San Joaquin County Human Services Agency’s Food For You Program will hold 23 food distributions in May.
All San Joaquin County residents who are eligible to receive free food through the program can attend the food distribution corresponding their ZIP code. The food distributions will go over seven total days during the month.
According to the news release, some of the items will include shelf-stable canned vegetables, fruit, meat, and dry foods like rice or pasta.
“The zip codes correspond to neighboring communities near the distribution sites,” the news release states. “The food may run out before the scheduled ending time.”
Residents must meet the income guidelines and self-certify as a San Joaquin County resident to qualify for free food. The EFAP Certification of Eligibility document must be completed to declare income eligibility, the San Joaquin County Food For You website states. Bringing a bag or box to the food distributions is recommended.

According to the news release, an additional $1,077.09 can be added for every additional person living in the household to the monthly income.
May San Joaquin County food distributions schedule:
The first food distribution this month will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, at 525 W. Lockeford St., in Lodi. Zip codes for this food distribution are 95240, 95241, 95242, 95220 and 95632.
