When the Los Angeles Rams acquired Kevin Dotson in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2023, he wasn’t handed the starting job at right guard. He took over in Week 4 and has never looked back, becoming one of the best guards in football over the last three years.
All it took was a Day 3 pick swap to get the trade done, too, proving to be an absolute steal for the Rams.

Matthew Stafford loves having him on the field when healthy, calling Dotson a “mountain of a man” last season. This latest workout video proves that description is accurate because Dotson made a 585-pound rack pull look ever so easy.
The Rams signed Dotson to a three-year, $48 million extension in 2024, so he’s under contract for one more year. He’s someone who’s already deserving of another contract to ensure he stays in Los Angeles for the foreseeable future.
He was PFF’s third-best guard in the NFL last season with a grade of 87.3 after ranking eighth in 2024.
