Before the Golden State Warriors officially report for training camp in a few weeks, Jimmy Butler is taking advantage of the final days of the offseason.
The veteran forward has had a busy summer, after traveling overseas to Asia for a tour with Li-Ning in early August, Butler’s latest trip has been to Morocco. During his travels, Butler hasn’t missed any time prepping for the upcoming NBA season.
During his trip to Morocco, Butler got some time in on the court. In a clip shared to Instagram, Butler couldn’t miss. The six-time All-Star hit a flurry of shots during an offseason workout in Morocco with Moroccan basketball pro and former Texas A&M- Corpus Christi guard, John Jordan. Before playing professionally in Morocco for FUS Rabat, Jordan played under current Golden State assistant Jerry Stackhouse with the Raptors 905 in the NBA Development League in 2017.

Along with his travels, Butler has been working out with a few of his teammates during the offseason. Butler has trained with both Buddy Hield and Draymond Green during the summer.
Butler is set for his first full regular season with the Warriors. Butler arrived in Golden State after a blockbuster deal with the Miami Heat at the NBA trade deadline. In 30 games with the Warriors, Butler averaged 17.9 points on 47.6% shooting from the field to go along with 5.9 assists and 5.5 rebounds in 32.7 minutes per game. Butler’s 5.9 assists per game was his highest mark since the 2020-21 season.
Butler and the Warriors are set to begin training camp on Sep. 29, with the season set to start on Oct. 21.
