Steve Kerr put all uncertainty to rest Saturday night, agreeing to a two-year extension to remain the head coach of the Golden State Warriors.
In 12 seasons with Golden State, Kerr has racked up over 600 wins and four championships. Now that he’s back into the fold, the Warriors front office can shift their focus to another integral part of their franchise, Stephen Curry.
As it stands, the Davidson product has just one year remaining on his deal. Adding at least one more year would give Curry and Kerr the chance to finish a 14-year partnership at the end of the 2027-28 season. By then, Curry will be 40 years old, nearing retirement.
