A massive week of news at USC continues, this time with a rather unfortunate development. On Thursday, head coach Lincoln Riley announced that offensive lineman Kilian O’Connor suffered an injury in practice and will miss the entire 2026 season.
The injury is a brutal blow for the Trojans. O’Conor, a redshirt senior, was projected to start at center for the second consecutive year. The former walk-on has drawn extensive praise from his teammates and coaches for his strong leadership.
With O’Connor out, USC must now adjust its offensive line plans. A potential option would be moving redshirt junior Tobias Raymond to center. Raymond, who started primarily at guard and tackle last season, worked in some at center during spring practice.
The Trojans will open the 2026 season on August 29 at the Coliseum against San Jose State.
