The Rams made a star-studded 'Friday' spoof for the 2026 draft, and it's amazing

Since returning to Southern California, the Los Angeles Rams have made every effort to re-establish their connection with their cultural roots in the city, often hosting events that highlight the many differences and influences that make this part of the country very special.

On top of being a rich, cultural hub for many, Los Angeles also has an incredible film scene. While the city is closely associated with big, blockbuster pictures, the city also has a great love for films that highlight everyday living, telling stories through lenses that aren’t typically looked through by the general public.

One of those films is the comedy classic “Friday,” starring Ice Cube and Chris Tucker, directed by the legendary F. Gary Grey. As the Rams prepare for the NFL draft, they released a short film titled “Thursday,” which mimics Friday’s feel and notable storyline.

Ice Cube and Tucker’s sons play their fathers’ characters, while Terry Crews fills in for the late Tiny Lister as the character Deebo. Rams players Jared Verse, Byron Young and Kevin Dotson also star in the video, playing their parts perfectly.

The entire video is perfect.

Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr., along with rapper YG, who was in the video, are lifelong Rams fans, continuing the organization’s tradition of using famous fans for their promotional videos.

The Rams always pull out all the stops for these draft videos and “Thursday” might just be their best yet.
