On Saturday, May 10, the high reached 100 at a weather station by the Moorpark Country Club and hit 101 in Ojai, meteorologist Ryan Kittell said. The temperature hit 86 degrees at the Camarillo Airport, which appears to be a record for the date.

Temperatures rose to the low 90s in a far reach of inland Camarillo and into the 90s across the Conejo Valley as well as in Fillmore, Santa Paula and the small community of Somis. Closer to the coast, the high at the Oxnard Airport reached 77.

Kittell said temperatures on May 11 should decline by five degrees. “We’re looking at a pretty pleasant Mother’s Day,” he said.

The highs on that date are expected to range between the mid-80s to mid-90s away from the coast and the lower to mid-70s along the coast. By May 12, Kittell expects temperatures in the mid-60s to the mid-70s across the county, which is at or just below normal, he said.
