A suspected stolen vehicle under pursuit by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office crashed into another vehicle in Indio Monday morning.
The incident began at around 8:24 a.m., when deputies located a suspected stolen vehicle at the intersection of Highway 111 and San Pablo Avenue in Palm Desert, according to the sheriff’s office. The vehicle did not yield when the deputies attempted a traffic stop, initiating a pursuit.
The chase ended at the intersection of Highway 111 and Jackson Street in Indio at around 8:33 a.m. when the collision occurred. The suspect was taken into custody. No injuries have been reported.
“This is an ongoing investigation,” a representative for the sheriff’s office said in an email to The Desert Sun, “and no further details will be released.”
