Backing Parvin for re-election
It is my privilege to endorse Janice Parvin for re-election to the position of County Supervisor, District 4.

Janice has done an outstanding job in representing our district. She keeps in touch with the residents by being at events and participating in local issues. In addition, her staff is there for us too. She pays attention to the budget and makes sure the taxpayer dollars are spent wisely. It is impossible to imagine how she could do more for the county or her district.

An advocate for agriculture
My husband and I have farmed avocados on 2.5 acres in Somis for 27 years. We’ve seen the signs suggesting that farmers support Jeff Gorell. I want your readers to understand that those signs represent some farmers — but not all.
From where I stand, during his time in office, I have not seen direct, meaningful action taken to support agriculture. We even had to organize with over 400 others to block proposed water rate increases that were not based on a clear or credible plan.
If actions are now being highlighted, many of us are asking whether those were truly led by his office or were the result of broader efforts.
Mark Perryman represents a shift toward accountability and active advocacy for agriculture.
