The San Joaquin Kennel Club will be holding its annual dog show this weekend in Lodi.
The event will return for its 144th All-Breed Dog Show on Thursday, May 28 through Sunday, May 31 at the Lodi Grape Festival Grounds, at 413 E. Lockeford St. The show will kick off at 9 a.m. Thursday and go to 5 p.m. Sunday.
“Get ready for four exciting days of canine competition and family-friendly fun at the San Joaquin Kennel Club Dog Show, an American Kennel Club (AKC) licensed event,” the Visit Lodi website states. “This multi-day showcase features top dogs, skilled handlers, and a variety of specialty events.”
There will be three days of all-breed competitions throughout the weekend. The first show and judging will begin on Friday morning. Others will continue on Saturday and Sunday. There will be junior handler and pee wee competitions as well as puppy classes for furry friends that are 4 to 6 months old.
Activities and services will also include Fast CAT (Friday through Sunday), CGC, CGCA and Canine CPR (on Saturday only), and CaliGroom Central Grooming Competition (on Sunday), the Visit Lodi website states.
Admission to the event is free, but parking is $10, according to Visit Stockton.
