Rams legend Kurt Warner’s son, E.J. Warner, went undrafted this year as a quarterback out of Fresno State, but he’s still hoping to catch on with an NFL team. And like his dad, he’ll try to go the undrafted route by capitalizing on open tryouts.
So far, Warner has gotten looks from two teams, both in the AFC West. The Kansas City Chiefs brought him in for their rookie minicamp over the weekend and now the Denver Broncos are doing the same.
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Warner has accepted an invite to the Broncos’ rookie minicamp this week, as he’ll try to impress Sean Payton and Denver’s staff.
Warner started for two years at Temple before transferring to Rice in 2024 and then Fresno State last year. In his career, he threw for 10,844 yards and 71 touchdowns, with 48 interceptions. He’s undersized at around 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, but there’s still a chance a team will take a shot on him this year.
