The Los Angeles Lakers visit the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, money line odds and over/under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet.
Following a stretch during which they lost six of 10 games, the Lakers have won three of their last four games, and they will look to build some real momentum against the pitiful Pelicans on Tuesday. Los Angeles is in fifth place in the Western Conference with a 22-11 record and is half a game ahead of the sixth-place Minnesota Timberwolves, as well as half a game behind the third-place Denver Nuggets.
The Pelicans, meanwhile, are at the bottom of the West with an 8-29 record and are on a seven-game losing streak.

Lakers vs Pelicans injury reports
Lakers: Gabe Vincent (lumbar back strain) is questionable. Rui Hachimura (right calf strain), Austin Reaves (left calf strain) and Adou Thiero (right MCL sprain) are out.
Pelicans: Herbert Jones (right ankle sprain) is questionable. Saddiq Bey (right hip flexor strain) and Dejounte Murray (right Achilles rupture) are out.
Advice and Prediction:
The Lakers’ schedule is about to get tougher, as 12 of their next 16 games, including Tuesday’s matchup, will be on the road. On Wednesday, they will quickly get back on the court and visit the San Antonio Spurs, who are in second place in the West with a 25-10 record.
But this game is one where they will have no excuse to lose. New Orleans is 20th in points per game, 26th in offensive rating, 27th in defensive rating and 28th in 3-point accuracy.
However, New Orleans is a solid offensive rebounding team, and it is eighth in fast-break points per game and first in points in the paint per game, so this won’t be an automatic win for L.A. James and crew will have to keep Zion Williamson out of the paint and limit its turnovers, and overall, it will have to avoid playing down to the level of its competition.
The Pelicans are second-to-last in fast-break points per game allowed, so the Lakers need to push the ball consistently and capitalize in transition early and often.
All in all, we expect this to be another win for the Purple and Gold.
Prediction: Lakers 119, Pelicans 111
