The 2026 CIF NorCal regional baseball and softball brackets have been released.
One runner-up will join the five Northern Section divisional champions in the NorCal Regional championship bracket.
Chico and Foothill, the Northern Section’s top Division II baseball teams, both earned a spot in the regional bracket. Chico earned the No. 7 seed in Division II and will face No. 2 Franklin, while Foothill earned the No. 4 seed in Division III and will host No. 5 Wheatland in its first-round game.
No. 4 West Valley and No. 7 U-Prep, the Division III and IV champions, will compete in the Division IV bracket, while Los Molinos and Maxwell hold the last two seeds in Division V.
Three NSCIF softball teams will compete in the Division III bracket, including Chico, Las Plumas and East Nicolaus. West Valley earned the No. 1 seed in Division IV — the highest seed of any NSCIF team — and will have a first-round bye. Durham and Chester round out Northern Section softball teams in the NorCal playoffs, with both schools competing in the Division V bracket.
