A portion of the Victorville’s Mojave Riverwalk will close temporarily for a maintenance project.
The riverwalk will close from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 8 and 9, between Catalina Road and Yucca Loma Road on the east side of Spring Valley Lake.
City officials said during that time, a contractor will trim vegetation along the path from Catalina Road to Yucca Loma Road to ensure a more accessible trail.
Residents can still use sections of the Riverwalk during the improvement project, but there will not be any through access at the maintenance site.
During the closure, signs will be posted at the Riverwalk entrance, along the trail, and at the Yucca Loma Road access point.
The Mojave Riverwalk is a Class I bike path and pedestrian trail that extends from Victor Valley College on Bear Valley Road to Mojave Narrows Regional Park on Yates Road north of Spring Valley Lake.
Residents with questions about the project can call Victorville Public Works at 760-241-6365.
