Massive offensive tackle commits to UCLA Bruins

The UCLA Bruins have added another massive target to their 2027 recruiting class. Three-star offensive tackle Aidan Ray committed to the Bruins on Monday, announcing the news on social media.

Ray is from Plano, Texas, and committed to UCLA over the Houston Cougars, Kansas State Wildcats, and North Texas Mean Green. The Bruins worked quickly to take control of his recruitment, extending him a scholarship offer on June 1 and hosting him on an official visit last weekend.

He is ranked as the No. 885 overall player and No. 76 offensive tackle in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 116 player from Texas.

Ray may not be UCLA’s highest-ranked commit, but he fills a need along the offensive line and has a great frame at 6-foot-5.5 and 300 pounds. He is their fifth commitment along the offensive line, joining three-star offensive tackle Thurman Lyles and interior offensive linemen Jackson Roper, Weston Hicks, and Gage Esty.

He is UCLA’s 22nd commitment overall, with 247Sports ranking the group as the 16th-best in the country and the 5th-best in the Big Ten. Seven of their commits are blue-chip prospects, including four-star athlete JuJu Johnson, the No. 45 overall player in the country.
