USC football’s 2025 season opener is now just a few days away! The Trojans will kick off their 2025 season on Saturday at the Coliseum against Missouri State.
As USC’s fall camp winds down, so to do position battles. One position where there seems to be more clarity now than there was a few weeks ago is offensive line.
Speaking on USC’s “Trojans Live” show Monday, Lincoln Riley gave some more details regarding USC’s projected lineup on the o-line for the season opener. Let’s take a look at what the Trojans currently have penciled in.
Left tackle
Redshirt sophomore Elijah Paige is set to return for his second season as the Trojans’ starting left tackle.
Left guard
Riley said that redshirt sophomore Tobias Raymond “is certainly going to start” on USC’s offensive line. With DJ Wingfield unlikely to be eligible, this seems like the most likely spot for him.
Center
Syracuse transfer J’Onre Reed and former walk-on Killian O’Connor have been in a tight battle for the starting center job. According to Riley, both will see playing time on Saturday.
Update: Riley revealed following Tuesday’s practice that O’Connor will start, but Reed will also play.
Right guard
After starting at left guard last season, Noa will shifted to right guard as a junior in 2025.
Right tackle
Riley said that redshirt freshman Justin Tauanuu is the most likely option to start here.
