Once the 2026 NBA Draft officially concluded on Wednesday night, a number of players who didn’t get drafted were signed by teams across the league as free agents. The Los Angeles Lakers got in on that action by bringing in AK Okereke, a forward from Vanderbilt University, on a two-way contract as an undrafted free agent.
A little later on, they signed two other players who weren’t selected in the draft. They gave Peter Suder, a 6-foot-5 guard who last played for Miami University, a two-way contract. He was named the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Player of the Year this past season by averaging 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, four assists and 1.3 steals a game.
Suder worked out for the Lakers, and he is a heady, skilled player who has shown the ability to be efficient offensively. He shot 54.6% from the field and 42.1% from 3-point range during the 2025-26 campaign. He is the son of Rick Suder, who played four years of college basketball at Duquesne University.
Los Angeles also gave an Exhibit 10 contract to William Kyle III, a power forward/center from Syracuse University.
Kyle is a limited offensive player, and he’s undersized for the 5 spot in the NBA at 6-foot-9 and 230 pounds. But he is a solid rebounder and shot-blocker who possesses ample athleticism and plays with plenty of effort and energy.
