In a recent mock draft, analyst Matt Miller has promising safety Kamari Ramsey being selected by the Tennessee Titans. Miller has Ramsey going to Tennessee with the first pick in the 4th round at No. 101.
The Titans are bringing in a new culture with Robert Saleh as the new head coach. Former NFL head coach Brian Daboll is taking over the offense as offensive coordinator. The Titans’ defense has not been the issue the last few years, but it has taken a step back recently.
Armani Hooker has kept the Titans’ safety play where it needs to be, but they haven’t had elite play since the prime Kevin Byard days. That is a big area of need for this team, and undervalued safety Kamari Ramsey could be that guy to elevate that room.
Kamari Ramsey has all the intangibles to be a good safety, and he proved that with a great season in 2024. He is a versatile player in the backend who can be solid in coverage but also be a sure tackler in run support. Ramsey fits the mold of a player that Robert Saleh would love to coach and one he could develop.
