Join the High Desert Pride Center this year for drag bingo, karaoke and more

High Desert Pride Center is hitting the ground running this year with fun events planned throughout 2026.

This month features plenty of chances for the greater desert community to get acquainted with the Pride Center at fun events like a queer art exhibition, bowling, drag bingo and karaoke.

“We can’t wait to see the High Desert community shining bright this month. Come as you are, bring a friend and let’s make 2026 our best year yet,” Program Director Will Smith said in a written statement.

The Pride Center team urges residents who cannot attend an event but still wish to contribute to donate to St. Hilary’s Episcopal Church via PayPal. Donations help keep the programs running and fund the upcoming Pride Prom and HD Pride Festival.

Here is an in-depth look at the first High Desert Pride Center events for the year, open to the public.

Out in the I.E. – Art Exhibition Grand Opening

High Desert Pride Center is partnering with Film Bliss Studios for a powerful new exhibition honoring the LGBTQ+ community’s impact on art, care and civil rights in the Inland Empire.

The art exhibit, titled “Out in the I.E.,” will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Riverside Fox Theater. Parking and admission are free.

LGBTQ+ Karaoke Night

Hosted by the Hi-Desert Center for Spiritual Living’s “Rainbow Alliance” group, this is a night for music and community building. Belt out your favorite ballads with the monthly karaoke event, from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, located at 18575 Corwin Road, Apple Valley.

The event includes a potluck. Participants are encouraged to bring a dish to share. RSVP and volunteer here, or by contacting admin@hdpridecenter.org.

Drag Queen Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s

Last year was the first-ever Pride Prom. The event was a success thanks to various donors and community support, like volunteers and participants in Drag Bingo, of which all proceeds benefit this year’s 2026 Pride Prom and Pride Festival.

Enter for your chance to win Ninja Blenders, Shark Vacuums, Texas Roadhouse baskets and more from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22, at Hamburger Mary’s in Ontario. The buy-in is $25. To make a reservation, call 909-944-9400.

STRIKE a Pose LGBTQ+ Bowling Night

Whether you’re a pro or just in it for the pizza, all are welcome at the “Stike a Pose” bowing night at Victor Bowl from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30. The $25 participant fee includes two hours of bowling, shoes, pizza and soda.

The deadline to RSVP and pay is Friday, Jan. 23. RSVP online here, and pay via PayPal or Zelle at sthilary@dslextreme.com.
