Here's the latest on Rams OLB Byron Young's status for Sunday vs. Seahawks

Injuries haven’t been a major concern for the Los Angeles Rams since the playoffs began but they do have one key starter banged up ahead of Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. Byron Young has been dealing with a nagging knee injury, which caused him to play limited snaps in the divisional round against the Chicago Bears.

Sean McVay confirmed on Thursday that it’s an injury that has bothered Young all year, so it’s nothing new. However, it seems to be ailing him more now than it did earlier in the season.

The good news is Young should be fine for Sunday. McVay told reporters Friday that Young will be listed as questionable but is expected to play against the Seahawks.

Young has been the Rams’ top edge rusher this year, leading the team with 12 sacks – 4.5 more than the next-closest player, Jared Verse.

It’s encouraging that he’ll play against Seattle, even if he may not be 100% healthy. He and Verse have the ability to throw Sam Darnold off his game, which is the best way to slow down Seattle’s offense.

If Young isn’t able to play his usual snap share, look for Josaiah Stewart and Desjuan Johnson to be on the field more often.
