De’Anthony Melton was limited to just six appearances during the 2024-25 season, suffering a torn ACL early in the year. For that reason, Melton made a late debut during the 2025-2026 campaign, appearing in 49 games, 24 of which were starts.
In those games the eight-year veteran showed his strengths as a defensive specialist and supplementary scorer. On the year, Melton averaged a career-best 12.3 points per game to go along with 3.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.4 blocks. Unfortunately for Golden State, Melton’s 3-point percentage was down six percent (29.4%) from his career average of 35.8%. But all in all, it was a solid season from Melton, especially considering his return from injury and his incredibly affordable salary ($3 million). Melton has a $3.4 million player option for next season, and if he were to decline, the Warriors may face plenty of competition to re-sign him.
