Get to know the officers who patrol your neighborhood one cup at a time at Victorville’s “Coffee with a Cop” event from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 24 at Starbucks on Amargosa Road.
This event aims to break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve. Take the opportunity to ask the Victorville Police Department burning questions you may have, learn more about the department, and ask about potential career opportunities.
The “Coffee with a Cop” community gathering offers residents a valuable opportunity to connect with their local deputies in a relaxed setting to build stronger relationships with neighborhood law enforcement, Victorville event organizers said.
The free community event will be located at 11604 Amargosa Road, Victorville. More information on the program can be found online at coffeewithacop.com.
Victorville PD
The Victorville Police Department has served the community since 1962.
The department is responsible for providing public safety services to a geographical area of more than 74 square miles with approximately 115,000 residents. The city of Victorville has historically been recognized as the retail center of the Victor Valley, which significantly adds to its daytime population.
More than 150 people work at the Victorville Police Department, many of whom are reserve deputies, civilian employees and volunteers. These various groups work together as a team to accomplish the law enforcement mission.
