Firefighters launched an all-out search and rescue effort Friday, April 10, using a thermal imaging camera and other firefighting tools to locate and rescue a kitten that became trapped inside the wall of a Victorville home, officials said.
Medical Truck 311 responded to the call of the tiny animal trapped in the precarious position, city officials said via social media.
Once on scene, the crew heard the trapped kitten inside the wall.
They “utilized their Thermal Imaging Camera (TIC) to accurately locate it within the structure,” according to the statement.
The crew then used specialized saws to cut a small hole in the wall to reach the kitten.
“The animal was safely removed without injury and has been reunited with the homeowner,” city officials stated.
