Ex-Rams QB named UFL Offensive Player of the Year

Los Angeles Rams fans might recognize the UFL’s 2025 Offensive Player of the Year.

Bryce Perkins, who played five games for the team and started one in 2022, took home the UFL’s top offensive award Tuesday after he led the Michigan Panthers to the UFL championship game. He also was named to the all-UFL team.

Perkins went 4-2 as a starter with a 69% completion rate, 1,342 passing yards, nine passing touchdowns, five rushing touchdowns and two interceptions.

Perkins, who has recently credited Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford for teaching him how to complete no-look passes, went undrafted out of Virginia before he signed with the Rams in 2020. He didn’t make his NFL debut until 2022 when he lost 26-10 to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 12 and threw for 100 passing yards, one touchdown and two interceptions that season.

Perkins and the Panthers take on the DC Defenders in the UFL championship game.
