With gas prices surging again, Circle K’s National Fuel Day couldn’t have come at a better time. The gas station is taking up to 40 cents off per gallon on Thursday, May 7.
Between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. local time, customers get the lower price at participating locations. Members of the chain’s Inner Circle loyalty program can start earlier, from 12 a.m. to 3 p.m. Discounts apply to all types of gas and are applied directly at the pump.
Circle K is also offering Inner Circle members the chance to win one of 250 Circle K gift cards, each worth $315, as part of the company’s Fuel Your Summer Sweepstakes. Winners will be selected weekly through July 4. For more information and to enter, go to the Circle K website.
Circle K offers National Fuel Day price reductions throughout the year, often ahead of driving holidays such as Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving.
It’s welcome news for California drivers, who are dealing with an average gas price of $6.15 per gallon on May 6, according to AAA. That’s a 15-cent jump from the day before, and about $1.40 a gallon more than at this time last year. The national average is $4.54, per AAA data.
