For the first time since 2016, the Los Angeles Rams are slated to pick in the top 15. That year, they traded up to No. 1 overall to select Jared Goff out of Cal, making a huge trade to land their franchise quarterback.
The only time since 2017 that they’ve picked in the first round was in 2024, drafting Jared Verse 19th overall. They’re hoping to have similar success this year with the 13th pick in Round 1. If they don’t trade down, they could land one of the best players in the draft.
And throughout recent history, teams have had success with that pick in the first round. Among the players since 2010 who have been taken No. 13 overall are Brock Bowers, Tristan Wirfs, Rashawn Slater, Laremy Tunsil and the Rams’ very own Aaron Donald.
Here’s every player drafted 13th overall since 2010.
Every 13th overall pick since 2010
It’s a strong group, as evidenced by the 10 players who have been named a Pro Bowler at least one time. There are seven multi-year Pro Bowl selections who have been drafted 13th overall since 2010, too, led by none other than Donald.
By no means does this guarantee that the Rams will hit on their pick at No. 13, but the track record at this pick is strong – particularly along the offensive line with Peat, Tunsil, Wirfs and Slater.
