Makai Lemon heads into his NFL rookie season on a Philadelphia Eagles team which is an annual contender. This season, there are many matchups where Lemon will be under the bright lights. He can prove himself to be a top weapon in the league just as he was in college.
Here are my most anticipated games for Makai Lemon in his rookie season:
Week 3 away vs the Bears
Caleb Williams and Makai Lemon were teammates at USC not too long ago. The competitive edge is there between the two even though they both wanted to play together in the NFL. The Eagles vs the Bears match was a great game to give a great amount of respect to last year’s Bears squad. This year, both teams will have a lot to prove. It will be exciting to see both offenses have a USC Trojan making plays in a primetime game. I think both players will play a huge factor in deciding the outcome, but Cakleb Williams will be the biggest star of the night.
Week 4 home vs the Rams
At one point this offseason, every mock draft had the Los Angeles Rams selecting Makai Lemon. Instead, they surprised the entire NFL on draft night. I think Makai Lemon will have something to prove in this game. Lemon will show the Rams what they are missing with one of his best games of the season. This will be a game that will feature two prolific offenses and two teams that can represent the NFC.
Week 7 home vs the Cowboys
Eagles vs Cowboys is always a fun matchup to watch, but now Makai Lemon will join that rivalry. The Cowboys have as much offensive firepower as any team in the NFL. They will make it tough on a younger Eagles defense. The Eagles will look to Makai Lemon, Devonta Smith, and Jalen Hurts to match that. A big game for Makai Lemon in this match will get the media talking about him even more.
Week 15 home vs the Seahawks
Another match vs a former USC Trojan quarterback. This is another game on the Eagles’ schedule that delivers a match between two teams that have their sights on an NFC title. The Seahawks defense is as good as it gets, and they will challenge rookie Makai Lemon and the rest of the Eagles’ weapons. This is a game where the difference makers step up and show out. I think by this point, Makai Lemon reveals himself as that.
Week 16 home vs the Texans
Makai Lemon will take on a lot of other USC Trojan alumni as he and the Eagles face the Houston Trojans in Week 16. Makai Lemon will face familiar faces in the Texans’ secondary in Calen Bullock, Jaylin Smith, and Kamari Ramsey. It will be interesting to see which Trojan will come out on top in this match, but nonetheless, a USC Trojan will win.
