Driver killed in solo-vehicle crash in Hesperia

A driver died after a vehicle slammed into a utility pole in Hesperia late Thursday, Nov. 13, officials said.

The single-vehicle crash was first reported about 11:45 p.m. along the 16700 block of Danbury Avenue, just north of Ranchero Road, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

“The driver struck an Edison pole and was ejected,” agency spokeswoman Gloria Orejel said. “The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene and the cause of the crash is under investigation.”

No further description of the driver was available.
